One of the biggest crisis’ facing homeowners today is burglary. Burglary affects a very large segment of society and losses can range from relatively small amounts to millions of dollars. Homes are particularly vulnerable, especially those that do not display home security stickers and signs.  Security system stickers and signs warn intruders that entry will either result in the sounding of an alarm or in being recorded on video recording system.  Those who commit burglaries and vandalism usually have varying degrees of skill and expertise.  It is important to find products that are effective against even the most experienced or expert intruder.

Every homeowner should know how to protect themselves especially from a burglary, which can leave its victims feeling distressed, victimized, and insecure. There are no safe segments of society anymore and anyone anywhere can be a victim.  In these trying times, our elderly are particularly at risk as well as women who live alone. Make sure all your doors and windows are secure and contain well-made, sturdy locks. When away from home, leave a light on. Make certain you have proper outdoor lighting on all sides of your home. If you are going to be out of town, ask a neighbor or friend to keep an eye on your house and to pick up your mail and newspapers if you do not have time to place a hold on such deliveries.  Keep all your important documents in a safe, well hidden place or in a small safe.

Home security stickers should be placed on all windows and doors that can be accessed from the ground level.  Also make sure you have security warning signs strategically placed in the front and rear of your home so they can be easily seen even at night time. You can purchase such signs online or at many home improvement stores.

By using simple measures such as placing a home security sticker on each of your access doors and using home security window stickers on all ground entry windows, you will be protecting your home from a majority of wrongdoers who prefer to target properties that offer easy, quick, and unnoticeable access.
