The next thing to consider is what type of fabric you want. Many people don’t stop to consider this and skip right over to finding a nice print or color they like. That is fine, but keep in mind that one of the benefits of using a duvet cover is that you can clean it often and this eliminates the need to clean the duvet inside. For this reason, you want to get a cover made from fabric that is not only comfortable, but also is durable and is machine washable. Don’t forget that if you buy a good cover, it will protect the investment that you made in the duvet.

When deciding on the color, consider the other colors in the room and find a cover that will coordinate nicely. Some people purchase a couple of covers so they can change the look of their bedroom once in a while.

Finally, make sure that the fasteners are durable and will not drive you crazy each time you wash the duvet cover. Some people prefer buttons as fasteners and others like velcro. If you purchase a good quality cover, the fasteners should work well and not give you any problems, even if you buy a king size duvet cover.
